Ellicottville, NY, October 21st, 2026 – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County (CCE) is pleased to invite community members to a free Energy Literacy Event at the Fredonia First Methodist Church on October 21nd at 10:00 AM. This event is to help residents across Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties save energy, reduce household energy costs, and make informed decisions about sustainable living.
The session will be led by Divine Jones, Sustainability Campaign Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County, who is dedicated to bringing approachable, practical energy education to local communities. Divine’s work focuses on helping individuals and families understand how small, achievable changes can lead to meaningful savings both financially and environmentally.
“We want community members to feel supported and empowered when it comes to energy use in their homes,” said Divine Jones. “Energy literacy isn’t just about understanding where your energy comes from; it’s about knowing how to make choices that improve comfort, reduce costs, and contribute to a healthier future for our region.”
