The 6th Annual MLK Day of Service is a powerful day of service. The WNY Community is invited to volunteer and support Churches and Non-profits (preferably on the Eastside of Buffalo). Hundreds of volunteers sign-up to lend a helping hand at designated MLK Day of Service Project Sites for 2-hours in the morning on the nationally recognized MLK, Jr. Day holiday. Just before volunteers go out to perform their volunteer role, everyone (including Pastors, Elected Officials, Project Site Leaders and various volunteers meet at 8am. to check-in; meet up with other volunteers; fellowship; get breakfast and take a group photo. MLK Day of Service is an opportunity to take meaningful action and create lasting change by engaging in projects that promote justice, equity, and unity.
In 2025 (last year), we had 300 volunteers support 22 Project Sites equating to over 600+ volunteer hours. Please feel free to sign-up to volunteer by going to: https://www.eastsidestewards.com/mlkday
