About this event
Erie County and NYSDEC work with the Omega Mentoring Program to engage teens from Buffalo’s East Side in climate-related activities. We are working with the teens and their mentors on an Earth Day event open to the general public at the community center campus where the program meets (a few blocks from the location of the Tops shooting). The event will include vendors and exhibits on energy efficiency programs, green jobs/tech, an electronics recycling drop-off, an EV rally, sustainable food choices, and the Erie County Environmental Management Council’s Environmental Awards ceremony. We expect local officials from DEC and the Erie County Executive’s office to attend the award ceremony.
